PRTF Transformation

Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTF) are an integral level of care within a systems of care framework. Youth with extremely challenging behavioral health needs often present for PRTF, compounded by psychosocial adversity impacting not only the child but the entire family or primary caretakers. Community Care and our county partners remain committed to supporting the needs of this complex population towards a pathway of resilience and to ensure the most appropriate services are delivered before, during, and after an episode of residential treatment. The PRTF Transformation Initiative uses the learning collaborative model in partnership with agencies to implement recommendations, part of the identified PRTF principles.
