Medication-Assisted Treatment Expansion

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorders, shown to increase retention in treatment, reduce relapse rates, and significantly decrease the risk of overdose. MAT includes agonist (methadone and buprenorphine) and anti-agonist (naltrexone) medications to help with withdrawal symptoms, combined with therapy. Community Care has expanded medication-assisted treatment across all regions. We have collected data over the past several years to assess the growth of MAT across contracts.
