Prohibiting Financial Incentives for Utilization Management

Community Care bases its utilization management decisions on the appropriateness of care and service and the existence of coverage for each eligible member. Practitioners and other individuals involved in utilization management are not specifically rewarded for issuing denials of coverage or services. Community Care does not offer financial incentives for utilization management decision makers at any level of the organization.
